Ninkharsag/The Essential Salts Of Human Dust/Ulthar Records/2013 EP Review

Ninkharsag  are  a  band  from  the  United  Kingdom  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  with  the  music  style  on  this  recording  being  a  very  melodic  and  90's  influenced  style  of  occult  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2013  ep  "The  Essential Salts  Of  Human  Dust"  which  was  released  by  Ulthar  Records.

"The  Essential  Salts  Of  Human  Dust"  begins  with  some  heavy  guitar  riffing  and  drums  which  utilize  some  primitive  elements  setting  up  the  mood  for  some  melodic  elements,  screams  and  heavy  bass  playing  which  in  return  takes  the  song  into  a  faster  direction  as  well  as  mixing  in  mid  paced  sections  before  going  into  a  slower  direction.

"Liber  V  vel  Reguli"  begins  with  some  Swedish  style  black  metal  guitar  riffing  which  leads  to   some  blast  beats  and  screams  as  well  as  mixing  in  mid  paced  sections  that  go  back  to  the  95  area  of  the  genre  along  with  some  powerful  bass  playing  in  the  background  before  reverting  back  to  the  faster  parts  which  then  leads  to  the  song  switching  back  and  forth  between  both  while  also  adding  in  some  melody  in  the  riffing.

Song  lyrics  cover  Occultism,  Magick  and  Ancient  History,  while  the  production  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and  dark  sound  where you  can  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  the  recording.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Ninkharsag  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  90's  styl  melodic  occult  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Liber  V  vel  Reguli".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
