Ethernal/The Black Sun/2011 EP Review

This  is  a  review  of  another  recording  from  Ethernal  with  the  music  style  being  melodic,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  black  metal  with  the  ep  being  self  released  in  2011 and  called  "The  Black  Sun".

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats  being  utilized  at  times,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  melodic  black  metal  riffs  that  use  some  raw  and  primitive  elements  as  well  as  some  thrash  influences  in  the  riffing,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  melodic  sounding  black  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads,  as  for  the  acoustic  guitars  which  are  only  used  briefly  they  use  finger  picking  and  full  chords  to enhance  the  dark  atmosphere  of  the  recording.

Vocals  are  all  grim  sounding  and  high  pitched  black  metal  screams, while  the  lyrics  cover  occult  and darkness  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  dark  and  heavy  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion t his  is  another  great  recording  from  Ethernal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  melodic,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  e.p.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "The  Order  Of  The  Black  Sun".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
