Vukodalk/Blackest Autumn/Realms Of Darkness Productions/2001 CD Review

Vukodalk where a band from Pennsylvania that played a very raw and primitive form of satanic black metal and this is a review of their 2001 album "Blackest Autumn" which was released by Realms Of Darkness Productions.

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a good amount of blast beats being thrown in, while the synths which are only utilized briefly bring a ritualistic feeling to the music, as for the bass playing it has a very dark, strong and powerful sound to them.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast raw and primitive sounding black metal riffs that are very dark sounding with an occasional death metal edge and there are no lead guitars or solos present on this recording.

Vocals are all grim sounding black metal screams, while the lyrics cover LaVey Satanism, Darkness, and Anti Christian themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.

In my opinion Vukodalk where a very good sounding raw and primitive sounding satanic black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Burnt Horizon" "Quasb A Na" and "Cryptic Passage". RECOMMENDED BUY.
